Waking the Dead Juice

Cabo has been sucking us into its sun, sand and glory. Our bodies under a comatose of healthy food cooked right here in our healthy cocina, we walk around like floating zombies on R&R overdrive.  Our eyes and brains sunk into pages of magical words and stories . . . fantasies between titles and hard covers.

This morning we had to wake ourselves from our delightful stuper with a juice Leticia called “Levanta Muertos” — Waking the Dead.

This juice although sweet and subtle, it pumps great flavor into your taste buds and energy into your body. If you’re feeling in the need for a “wake me up” drink, then try this juice.  We made it this morning, and I already went to yoga and back.  Ready for more sun, sand and glory.

Jugo Levanta Muertos (Waking the Dead Juice)

Ingredients:

10 Oranges
1/3 Pineapple
3 Beets (peeling optional)
2 Stalks of Celery

First, juice the oranges, peeled beets and celery stalks into your juicer (if you have one). Then, pour juice contents into blender with pineapple and blend until smooth. If you don’t have a juicer and are using a blender, make sure to combine ingredients with 1 cup of water when blending.  The celery stalk is both a decorative garnish and useful stirring stick when sipping on this bone waking juice! Serve chilled or on ice and enjoy waking the dead out of you!!

This juice serves 4.
